In the past ten years, a volcano eruption almost destroyed Japan's Ayaka Islands. Since then, Yukito Yanagi has lived with foster families on the mainland but has kept himself isolated due to a distressing event. On his middle school graduation day, he is returned to his birthplace by his late father's wish. There he meets his father's disciples and learns about the supernatural state of the region. Mitama, mysterious life forms that feed off negative human energy and turn into monstrous Ara-Mitama, pose a threat to the islanders' lives. Yukito discovers that he is a Ley Master like his father, with abilities similar to magic, meant to calm down the Ara-Mitama. As he overcomes his trauma and controls his powers, Yukito decides to follow in his father's footsteps and become a top-notch Ley Master to safeguard peace on Ayaka.

Ayaka was released on Blu-ray in two volumes from October 25, 2023, to November 22, 2023.
