Totsuko, a high school student from Nagasaki City who attends a mission school, has the ability to see emotions as colors - happy, sad, calm, frightened, etc. In order to avoid causing distress to those around her, she pays close attention and reads the atmosphere before telling lies to conceal situations. Eventually, Totsuko discovers a band with a girl who radiates beautiful colors and a boy who loves music while browsing in a second-hand bookstore located in a secluded area of the city. The three sensitive individuals come together and begin playing youthful melodies.
