Himari Kino is a friendly and sociable individual who easily forms connections with others. At her high school orientation ceremony, she becomes smitten with Yori Asanagi, a reserved senior student, during his band performance. Following the concert, Himari impulsively declares her love for Yori, but Yori feels unprepared for such romantic entanglements. In response, Yori seeks guidance from her peers and turns to music for clarification. To her astonishment, Yori discovers that Himari's affection was directed towards her music and performance rather than Yori herself. Although taken aback, Yori strives to help Himari develop genuine feelings for her. After school, Yori and Himari spend time on the rooftop where Yori plays her guitar in hopes of altering Himari's emotions towards her.
