In ancient China's imperial court, a 17-year-old girl named Maomao was kidnapped and forced to work as a low-level servant at the emperor's palace. Despite this, she maintained her curious and practical mindset, planning to serve until her term ended. However, one day she learned that the emperors two infants were gravely ill. She decided to act secretly, drawing on her experience as a pharmacist from the poor red-light district.
Although Maomao tried to remain anonymous, Jinshi, an influential eunuch, recognized her talents and she was soon moved into the emperor's inner court. There, she gained recognition by utilizing her knowledge and unique personality to solve various medical mysteries.
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto was released on Blu-ray in four volumes from January 24, 2024, to July 17, 2024.
