On one occasion, the planet Earth came under attack by a space pirate known as Orbus. His objective was to target Planet Energy, which represented the life energy of the Earth. If multiple Release Points, where the Planet Energy was concentrated, were attacked simultaneously, it would result in an explosion on Earth. During the initial assault, Takasugi Seiji and his friend Kosaka Hikaru managed to escape into an ancient temple. Later, they received a token called Orin from the leader of the Earth guardians through their consciousness. With the power of Orin, their patrol car was transformed into a Robot known as Da Garn.
