The Mach 5 is an incredibly fast and advanced race car constructed by humans. It comes equipped with numerous gadgets and a powerful engine, making it quite challenging for anyone who dares to compete against it. Gou Mifune, a teenage boy with dreams of becoming a professional racer, is the driver of this amazing vehicle. Despite his father Daisuke Mifune, the creator of the Mach 5, not wanting him near any race tracks, Gou's girlfriend Michi, younger brother Kurio, and Kurios monkey sidekick Sanpei become his biggest fans as he strives to become the greatest racer in history. However, Gou soon discovers that becoming a professional racer is no easy feat. He must navigate through corrupt businessmen's underhanded plots and intense competition from his rival Racer X. Gou must prove himself before crossing the finish line.
