Dr. Souzou Haran was a renowned scientist who conducted research on Mars, where he developed a self-thinking form of life known as the Meganoids. These intelligent machines quickly became uncontrollable and led to the death of Dr. Haran and his family, except for his 16-year-old son Banjou. After escaping from Mars aboard a rocket with Daitarn 3, a solar-powered super robot made from special Martian metals, Banjou now lives in an opulent mansion on Earth at the age of eighteen. Alongside his loyal butler Garrison and two stunning companions Reika and Beauty, he battles against the evil Meganoids who seek to turn all humans into cyborgs and "improve" the human race.
