Kakomareta Sekai  

Enclosed World, 囲まれた世界

Kakomareta Sekai is an animated short created by Shinkai Makoto with Lightwave 3D technology. Inspired by Harukis Murakami novel Sekai no Owari to Hard-Boiled Wonderland, it features music composed by Tenmon, who also worked on the soundtracks for several of Shinkais other works including Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko, Hoshi no Koe, Kumo no Mukou, and Yakusoku no Basho. Originally available on Shinkais website, this 30-second short has since been removed due to bandwidth issues. Although it was initially intended as practice using 3DCG programs, there are limited chances of a proper release for Kakomareta Sekai as Shinkai did not plan for widespread distribution.
