The aliens invade the entrance of a museum next to Mazinger Z and take over Great Mazinger, which had been used as symbols of peace. Grendizer battles against these evil invaders and recovers Great Mazinger. However, when the Vegan empire appoints a new general to lead their conquest of Earth, he promptly captures Koji Kabuto and learns about Great Mazinger through interrogation. He then seizes control of it from the museum where it was kept as a symbol of peace. Now, Duke Fleed must use Grendizer to stop this former defender from becoming humanity's destroyer.
