Despite the departure of the Decepticons from Earth, a small group of Autobot Pretenders have remained behind for safety purposes. Led by Metalhawk ("Hawk" in his human form), these Pretenders live among humans, utilizing their shells to take on human dimensions and appearance. However, their caution is justified as Decepticon Pretenders emerge, led by the enigmatic Devil Z. As a result, both sides strengthen their forces, recruiting humans to become Junior Headmasters and Godmasters (Powermasters).
