In the 21st century, an impact from a meteorite led to Earth's destruction. The survivors then split into two groups, with one heading into space (Dobias) and the other going underground (Shioru). Centuries later, they returned to the surface and are now fighting for control of the planet. However, their struggle is not only against each other but also against a new species called Creatures. The Geisters, an elite team of five soldiers, have been tasked with protecting humanity from both these threats. Recently, a soldier of Shioru descent has joined the team, causing uncertainty among its members about her loyalty and usefulness to the group. As tensions rise between Dobias and Shioru on the political front, Creatures continue to wreak havoc, and a new weapon is being developed in secret that poses an even greater threat. The Geisters must now maintain peace within themselves and with society as they work to keep humanity safe from these dangers.
