Kannazuki no Miko takes place in Mahoroba, a village where time moves slowly for both humans and nature. Himeko and Chikane are students at Ototachibana Academy with contrasting personalities - Himeko is reserved while Chikane is confident. Despite their differences, they have a strong bond that nothing can break. On their birthday, one of their friends gets corrupted by an evil voice, leading to an attack on the girls. However, their dormant lunar and solar priestess powers are awakened, dispelling the darkness. This was just the beginning as the two girls must now protect themselves from various threats, even those coming from people close to them.
