Alakazam was a courageous monkey who convinced his fellow monkeys to make him their king. Once he ascended the throne and discovered magic, he became overly proud. He decided to challenge the gods in heaven, but was defeated by King Amo. As punishment, he was ordered to serve as Prince Amat's bodyguard in order to learn humility.
