A string of diamond thefts have occurred worldwide. When Malyneras reserves are depleted, Patalliro and Bancoran travel to Japan after discovering a clue in the form of a mechanical spider found at the crime scene. While interrogating a suspect, he is assassinated before they can obtain any additional information beyond his name, which is "Tarantella". The killer appears to be Bancorans former lover Bjorn, who was supposedly deceased. Is it possible that he is alive and involved in the case? Can our heroes uncover more about him and the enigmatic organization before they can execute their plans?
