Annette grew up in poverty with her family in Switzerland. She's kind-hearted and takes care of her brother Dannie. Her best friend is Lucien. One day, Dannie gets hurt and develops a limp due to an accident caused by Lucien. Despite the hardship, Annette and Lucien slowly rebuild their friendship over time.
