Christopher "Chris" Chiaki is an easygoing individual who consistently fails his college entrance exams even into his mid-twenties. He spends most of his time practicing Kendo, visiting his family's shrine, and dreaming about his high school reunion. However, Chris' life takes a dramatic turn when he is suddenly transported to the world of Byston Well, where he becomes Garzeys Wing, a legendary holy warrior. The Metomeus tribe summoned him to help them liberate themselves from slavery, but unfortunately, Chris has no knowledge on how to be a holy warrior and only possesses an incredibly dull sword that he salvaged from a corpse. To make matters more complicated, there is another Chris still in the normal world who cannot control events in Byston Well but is tied to the fate of the other Chris. As a result, Chris must struggle and adventure in a world filled with magical creatures and mysterious foreigners.
