In the 21st century, humanity started exploring space. One corporation, Planet Catcher Corporation, led the way in capturing asteroids and comets for mining resources on Earth. On an asteroid called Tortatis, there lived a boy named Nanbu Ushiwaka - the first child ever born in space who survived. However, survival was no longer certain as a military satellite caused a disaster during an operation to capture Halley's Comet. The colonists, including Ushiwaka and his fellow astronauts, were left stranded on the asteroid with only their wits to survive. They had to find a way out before the nuclear reactor melted down or face certain death in space.

It was originally planned for 6 episodes, but ceased production after only 2 were created. The two existing episodes received a VHS release on November 21st, 1995 in both Japanese and English dubs. A DVD featuring both dubs was released on February 25th, 2014. The 4 unproduced episodes were supposed to be called "Atmospheric Entry", "Fascism", "Ominous Halley" and "Toutatis 1B9-6".
