A hunter is someone who journeys around the globe performing hazardous activities such as apprehending criminals or exploring unexplored territories in search of hidden treasures. Gon, a young boy whose father vanished without a trace many years ago, aspires to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming a hunter. He believes that if he does so, he may eventually be reunited with his father. At age twelve, Gon departs from his home and joins the hunter exam, known for its low success rate and high mortality rate. During this exam, he befriends Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua, with their bond enduring throughout their perilous journey towards becoming official hunters. This story is based on the manga by Togashi Yoshihiro.
