Ureshiko Asaba is 26 years old and married. Many people do not know that she is actually a magical girl named "Agnes", who serves as the guardian of her town. One day, Agnes meets Sayaka Kurenai, also known as "Cruje", another magical girl appointed by the magic realm to succeed her position. However, Agnes is hesitant to let Cruje take over because she knows that Cruje has orders to destroy the entire town, including its human inhabitants, in order to create a new one. Additionally, Ureshiko must navigate the growing distance between herself and her husband, Tamotsu, as well as her developing feelings for Tatsumi Kagura, who is now living as a tenant in her home.
