While luffy and his crew of zoro and nami are on their small boat, they encounter a large monster during their journey. during this attack, nami is taken away while luffy and zoro wash up on shore. upon arriving at the island, they meet medaka, who shares with them the tragic history of her village. the villagers have been enslaved by the evil pirate ganzack, including medakas father. as a result, luffy, zoro, and medaka must infiltrate ganzacks base to rescue the villagers, nami, and free the slaves from their oppressive captor.

One Piece: Taose! Kaizoku Ganzack was shown off at Jump Super Anime Tour in 1998 along side the Hunter x Hunter Pilot.
