In the year 0068 of the Universal Century, Casval Rem Deikuns life is disrupted after his father, who was a prominent leader in the fight for civil rights for people living off Earth, is assassinated. Casval and his sister Artesia receive assistance from soldiers loyal to their father, and they are taken away from their home, separated, and forced to confront their own destinies as they are thrust into the chaos of war. Before he became known as Char Aznable or "Red Comet," Casval must navigate the rise of a militarized version of his fathers beliefs and grapple with his own vengeful impulses as he is molded into a legendary mobile suit pilot.
