With the help of their friend Orlin and a young boy named Kilian, Effera and Jiliora manage to escape from a slave ship. Tragically, Kilian is killed during the escape. Despite this, Effera and Jiliora feel responsible for returning Kilian's pendant to his siblings, who are currently being held captive by Baron Celdion. Baron Celdion, who is planning to take over all of the neighboring countries, has them in his sights.
