Shun Tokinoya was affected by a tragic car accident that claimed his father's life and caused his sister to become disabled. Due to this incident, he stopped engaging in online gaming. Currently, he is a high school student who regrets his past lifestyle and works part-time at a cybercafe owned by his childhood friend Nozomi Inatsuki. However, when FOX ONE, Nozomi's father's esports team, retires all its players, Shun learns that the Inatsuki family is deeply in debt. To repay this debt, he reluctantly agrees to participate in the Xaxerion Championship online game tournament. Along with Akito Sendou and two new teammates, they scout for talented players to revive FOX ONE. However, if Shun does not overcome his guilt, the team has no chance of winning the tournament.
