The peak of human civilization has passed away, leaving behind only ruins. Now society and science are trying to rebuild and recover lost knowledge from ancient artifacts that are beyond understanding. These remnants of the "Old World" can bring great fortune to those who find them; however, there is a risk of encountering ancient security systems or rogue bioweapons that could harm relic hunters. Akira, an orphan living in the slums, dreams of becoming a relic hunter to escape his difficult life. Despite being untrained, malnourished, and poorly armed, Akira has the potential to survive if he can make it back from the ruins alive. However, fate takes a turn when Akira encounters Alpha, a mysterious ghostly woman who needs a hunter. She offers to train him, giving him the chance to climb up in a ruthless and unforgiving world.
