Takao Taniguchi was a student at Sumitani High School who had fractured his finger during a junior high school game. Despite being unable to play baseball, he remained interested in the sport and watched the baseball club closely. However, when he joined Sumitani High School, he found himself drawn towards the soccer club instead of baseball. Although hes new to soccer, Taniguchi worked hard and his teammates began to see his potential. While focusing all his energy on soccer, he couldn't forget his passion for baseball and started umpiring games in secret.
