Colin MacLeod, a Scottish Highlander who has lived for centuries, embarks on a quest with his friend Amergan to find Marcus Octavius, an immortal despot responsible for killing his lover. The city of New York is now underwater, but one fortress still stands tall - the fortress of Marcus Octavius. MacLeod must decide whether to save the remaining inhabitants of New York or pursue his enemy.
