On a day in Sierra Nevada, a native American boy named Lan encounters two small bears at their home. He names one brother bear 'Jacky' and the other sister bear 'Jill'. Despite initial joy, their happiness is short-lived when Lan's father accidentally kills their mother. Compassionate towards them, Lan decides to bring Jackie and Jill back to his residence to live with him.
