According to the manga by Inoue Noriyoshi, which also inspired a Super Famicom game adaptation, Natsume Kiroemon was the 45th leader of the Natsume family. He inherited "Kiryuu no Mimi," a tool that granted its bearer access to wealth and women with ease. After his father's passing, he left the Italian monastery where he had been training and assumed the name "Natsume Kiroemon" along with the Kiryuu no Mimi power. Upon returning to Japan, Natsume fell deeply in love with Kanako from the rival Mina family. However, the evil forces of the Mina family constantly harassed him, abducting Kanako. Now that he has broken the seal and released the Kiryuus power, Natsume is determined to fight back against the Mina family.
