In this series, we follow Brian Thompson, a former journalist, as he takes us on a journey to relive some of the most iconic moments in Football World Cup history. The story begins with the first tournament held in Uruguay in 1930 and continues through to the United States hosting it in 1994. We also get an insight into Thompson's life, from his childhood until now. Through the series, we witness the rebirth of football as some of the greatest players like Franz Beckenbauer, Müller Gard, Eusebio and Pelé come to life on screen.
