13-year-old Hikaru Kicker is an avid football enthusiast who has been playing with a ball since he was just a baby, thanks to his father's friend who gave him one. Hikaru travels to Italy to hone his skills and joins the Genova team at first but later switches to "Columbus" due to its weakness compared to Genova. Despite facing numerous challenges, Columbus improves over time and defeats Margerita, a strong soccer squad in Genova. The tournament is approaching as Genova hosts its first soccer championship. During the competition, Hikaru and his teammates encounter various opponents and develop greater maturity. Can Hikaru score a goal and which team will emerge victorious?
