The Garadain Empire has depleted their primary resources on their home planet, prompting them to send out space missions in search of new worlds. One such mission targets Earth. Meanwhile, an alien scientist named Zeku Alba rebels against imperial rule and flees towards Earth, where he assembles a team of young individuals with the ability of "psychogenesis", which allows them to create solid matter from mental energy. The most talented member of this squadron is Isamu, an orphan whose family was killed in the initial attack by the Garadain Empire. With his psychic energy, he generates the powerful robot Govarian, an armor that enables him to fight against alien monsters and regenerate. Additionally, two other robots created by his teammates aid Isamu as he defends Earth during the long war against the invading aliens aboard Govarian.
