one day, an unusual man named kotaro the dreamball dealer appears in front of naho. he introduces himself and tells her he can take her to a dreamland where she can escape from her everyday life. however, after this encounter, strange occurrences begin to happen to naho. she finds herself having fun with friends and experiencing different worlds before being reunited with her father and mother, only to find herself wandering into jun's dream.
