The Society for Modern Visual Culture, commonly known as Genshiken, has been taken over by a more confident Sasahara. Since then, there have been changes in the club between semesters. A new member named Ogiue has joined the otaku club and is hostile towards otakus. Despite this, Sasaharas initial plan of starting a doujin circle and selling fan-made magazines at the next Comic Festival becomes reality. However, as it turns out, reality can be quite unpredictable and even cruel at times. Additionally, there has been much discussion among the club members about Tanaka and Ohnos romantic relationship, which is slowly progressing with caution.
