Miho shinohara is a carefree third-grader who dreams of becoming a manga artist. one day, while playing with stuffed animals, she discovers two lost fairies in disguise. in exchange for hosting them until they can return home, the fairies give her a special sketch pad and pencil that allow her to create real objects from her drawings. additionally, miho gains the ability to transform into lala, a beautiful teenage girl created through her art. as lala, she is discovered by a talent agency and begins an exciting journey as a model and idol singer.
