The story of Tensai Bakabon revolves around a child prodigy and his "philosophical" father. While Bakabon's dad has his own unique philosophy, he is known as "The Great Philosopher" due to his relentless pursuit of answers. Despite causing trouble, people seek him out for advice, which often leads to disastrous consequences. Tensai Bakabon joins in on his father's philosophical quests, driving the townspeople mad.
