Germany is facing an epidemic of "Amalgams," which are cybernetic entities that emerge from decaying flesh and can merge with technology for enhanced abilities. The Xenogenesis Assault Team (XAT) was established to combat this threat, in addition to studying the newly discovered "amalgamated" humans who possess rational thought but are more lethal than non-sentient Amalgams. One such amalgamated human is Joseph Jobson, a skilled warrior with full control over his powers. However, after encountering a recently turned Amalgam named Gerd Frentzen, he became a top priority target for the XAT and was transformed into Blassreiter, the strongest Amalgam in existence. Now, armed with new abilities, Joseph must fight back to uncover the truth about his past and the entire conflict surrounding Amalgams.
