Dou Zhanlong was once a human who was reincarnated as a golden toad after unintentionally releasing it while trying to read a heavenly book. The golden toad sought prosperity for humanity and became Dou Zhanlong again. To prevent a heavenly calamity, Dou Zhanlong tore apart his spiritual cavity, creating nine clones of himself that fell into different locations. Each death resulted in a new clone, leading to "nine deaths and thirteen disasters." Our story begins with Dou Zhanlong's first incarnation as a human.
