After losing their Sword of Light in battle, Lina and Gourry set out to find a replacement weapon. During their journey, they encounter Amelia and Zelgadis in the kingdom of Luvinagard while engaging with some pirates. Although Lina is thrilled to see her old friends again, she is taken aback by the behavior of Wizer, the Inspector of the Special Investigative Unit in Luvinagard.
