Mifuyu is a high school student who comes from a family of book enthusiasts. She lives in a town where reading is highly valued, with her great-grandfather having founded Mikura Hall, a renowned library. Despite her family's love for books, Mifuyu dislikes them. However, when a thief steals books from Mikura Hall, triggering an ancient curse, she must enter the stories she detests in order to retrieve them and restore her great-grandfather's collection. With assistance from Mashiro, she aims to save her town from magical destruction.
