Kemono no Souja Erin

In Ryoza's neighboring provinces of Shin-Ou and Tai-Kou, there has been peace for a long time. Queen Shinou is the ruler of Ryoza and her greatest general, Grand Duke Taikou, defends the kingdom with his army of powerful war-lizards known as Touda. Although these two regions have had an alliance for many years, tensions are mounting, which could lead to a civil war.
In Ake, a village in Tai-Kou responsible for raising Grand Duke Taikous army, lives Erin, a bright girl who spends her days observing the work of her mother Soyon, the villages head Touda doctor. However, when an unfortunate incident befalls the Grand Dukes strongest Touda, peace in Erins life disappears as Soyon is severely punished. In a desperate attempt to save her mother, Erin falls into a river and is swept towards Shin-Ou.
Since she cannot return home, Erin must adapt to a new way of living with different people while searching for the truth about both beasts and humanity itself. The tensions between the two regions continue to escalate.
