Ibuki Keita has been plagued by bad luck since childhood. Despite this, he avoids getting close to anyone, including his best friend Akane. This leaves him feeling isolated and miserable. One evening, while eating at his favorite ramen shop, Keita meets a mysterious girl named Kuro who claims to be a Mototsumitama. She explains that there is a phenomenon called the "Doppeliner System," where life energy or Terra is split into three identical-looking people. As a guardian of the Coexistence Equilibrium, which maintains the flow of Terra around the world, Kuro must always be with her Mototsumitama partners. Initially skeptical, Keita becomes entangled in this hidden world when he is nearly killed. In a desperate attempt to save himself, he makes a contract with Kuro without fully understanding its implications. Now, Keita is bound to Kuro and must accompany her at all times. Could his misfortune possibly worsen?
