The narrative unfolds in a distant future where society has deteriorated. Hiyoko is a teenage girl with aspirations to attend an art school. Following a heated argument with her father, who tried to discard her mother's cherished drawings, she flees from home and stumbles upon a slum situated within a stadium. There, she encounters Akira, the leader of the street children. As the authorities seek to demolish the stadium as part of an urban revitalization project, the residents decide to stage a "The Asylum Session" event in protest. Hiyoko is tasked with creating a massive mural on the stadium walls.
