As we enter a new year, the senior members of the Light Music Club have become third-years. With Azusa Nakano being the only second-year member, the seniors realize that they will soon be the only ones left in the club once they graduate. In order to prevent this from happening, they decide to recruit new members. However, despite their efforts to attract underclassmen through various methods such as distributing flyers, inviting people into the clubroom, and performing at the welcoming ceremony, there have been no signs of anyone interested in joining.
While on her way to the clubroom, Azusa overhears Yui Hirasawa mention that the club is content with having only five members and can still enjoy many fun activities together. Taking this into consideration, Azusa decides that they do not need to recruit any new members at the moment. The anime series K-On!! follows the Light Music Club as its members navigate their high school years, from practicing for concerts to simply hanging out and having a good time. They are determined to make their final year together an unforgettable one!
K-On!! won the Animation Kobe Award in the Television category during the Animation Kobe festival in 2010.
