The narrative revolves around Ling Fei-long, a Chinese student studying in Japan. As the son of the head of the White Dragon clan - one of four families with roots in China's mountainous regions and linked to mythical creatures - Ling is exiled to Japan for the purpose of understanding humans and managing his abilities among them.
