A long time ago, there was a wicked sorcerer who cast "Great Summon", resulting in the death of one third of humanity and the arrival of demons and beasts on Earth. Later, painter Tamura Fukutaro relocates to an apartment building called "Ashiaraiyashiki" and becomes entangled with the issues of his supernatural neighbors. This marks the start of a fierce struggle among gods, devils, and the ruler known as "The Central".
