Three years have passed since their adventure, and Lafiel has been promoted to captain of the newly launched assault ship Basroil. Meanwhile, Jinto has completed his training to become a supply officer and joins Lafiels crew. Their objective is to defend the Laptic Gate, which is of great strategic importance, against an enemy force that is fifteen times larger than their own. To make matters worse, their new fleet commander hails from the infamous Bebous family, known for their "Spectacular Insanity".
