Joshiraku is an anime series that follows the daily conversations of five female rakugo storytellers. The show covers a wide range of topics, from everyday life to politics and manga. Each girl has her own unique personality, with Marii Buratei being energetic but immature, Kigurumi Haroukitei appearing cute, Tetora Bouhatei being lucky and carefree, Gankyou Kuurubiyuutei being calm yet violent, and Kukuru Anrakutei being pessimistic and unstable. The series features the girls discussing their observations with each other, either backstage at a rakugo theater or in famous locations around Tokyo. Additionally, there is a mysterious friend who joins them in wrestling masks.
