The National Tournament has ended with Aichi and his companions emerging victorious. They decide to part ways until a new figure emerges, Takuto Tatsunagi. He discloses that leaders of Royal Paladins, Dark Paladins, and Kagero have been captured, and the only way to save Cray is by utilizing a new power known as Limit Break. Due to the loss of their ability to fight, Aichi's deck is transformed into a Gold Paladin deck. In order to uncover more about what happened on Cray and free their friends, Aichi and his companions must now compete in the Vanguard VF Circuit.
