In the near future, much of Earth has been submerged underwater or destroyed by earthquakes. At the heart of this chaos is a mysterious figure known as Orphan. While it's unclear if Orphan was the original cause of these catastrophes, their goal remains clear - to bring a ship hidden deep beneath the sea back to the surface. However, doing so would mean the destruction of all humans except for those loyal to Orphan. Orphan's agents pilot mysterious mecha known as Grand Cheres and search the world for giant disks that occasionally appear in the sky, flying at high speeds and causing widespread devastation when they crash onto land. One such disk almost killed Hime, but it resulted in the birth of a new type of mecha called Brain Powerd. While similar to Grand Cheres, Brain Powerds are not exactly the same. Hime becomes the pilot of the newly formed Brain Powerd and forms a symbiotic relationship with their living mecha. They join an International Organization dedicated to stopping Orphan or at least saving humanity should they succeed in bringing the ship back to the surface.
