Mukoujima Takurou is an adolescent who enjoys spending his leisure hours at the pier, where he catches Muromi, a mermaid, to his astonishment. Initially unaware of her true nature, Muromi later realizes she's a mermaid and exhibits unusual behavior, including being dense, erratic, and struggling with alcohol addiction. From then on, Takurou encounters Muromi during his fishing trips, adding intrigue to his life.
Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san was released on Blu-ray from June 26, 2013 to August 21, 2013.
